  1. How much does SaferKid cost?
    • SaferKid costs just $99.99 for 6 months. No contracts. Just cancel anytime before the next renewal.
  2. What comes with my membership?
    • Your membership includes SaferText, SaferKid Alert and Parental Superpowers.
  3. What is SaferText?
    • SaferText is a breakthrough child safety tool that allows you to see your child's text messages, web browsing history, phone call history and phone contacts. To keep trust in your family, your kids will know that you have SaferText, and you can gradually disable its features as kids get older to give them more privacy.
  4. What are Parental Superpowers?
    • Parental Superpowers allow you to turn your children's apps off at night, on a schedule, or any time. They also help you block adult content protecting children from inappropriate content.
  5. What is SaferKid Alert?
    • SaferKid Alert regularly checks to see if your children have installed any of over 200,000 age-inappropriate apps on their devices. If we find an app, we send you an alert. We also let you know what's inappropriate about the app and how to talk to your child about it.
  6. How often do you run scans and send alerts?
    • We run a scan approximately once an hour on iOS and in real-time on Android. if we find an app of concern, you'll get an alert.
  7. What age range is this product for?
    • All ages. For example, for 5 year-olds, we detect apps that are inappropriate for reasons such as having too much cartoon violence. For 17 year-olds, we detect if they are trying to join adult dating products. And we do lots of things in-between.
  8. What kind of devices does SaferKid work with?
    • SaferKid works with iPhones, iPods and iPads running iOS v9.0 and higher and Android devices running Android 4.x and higher.
  9. Do I need to install something on my child's device?
    • Yes. You will need to install something on each device. To use SaferText on iOS devices, you will also need to have your child's iCloud credentials and to enable iCloud backup.
  10. Does it cost more if I have more than one child?
    • No. Your membership includes all of your children and all their devices for one price.
  11. I need SaferKid but cannot afford it. What can I do?
    • SaferKid cover all the children in a family for 6 months. For most families who can afford iPhones and cell service, this is very affordable. That said, price should not be a reason that a child is at risk of sexual assault or other dangers. If you are in a tough financial situation and need to protect your child, please email us to let us know what you can afford. We will work with you to get your child protected. Please be aware that we will want to verify your financial situation. If you want to sponsor SaferKid subscriptions for families in need, please also email the same address.
  12. We make an app and would like to appeal our rating. How can we do this?
    • We are happy to discuss your rating. If we have made a mistake or misunderstood something, please do let us know at Ratings AT SaferKid DOT com.
  13. What kind of apps does SaferKid review?
    • SaferKid currently reviews apps for iPhone, iPod and iPad as well as for Android. We rate all kinds of apps, but we prioritize apps that endanger children.
