Pinterest is a visual social networking platform used for sharing images and ideas. The product also has a private messaging aspect where users can send images found on any board to members they don’t know and do not follow. Since parents should always know if their child is on a social network, no minor should use this app without a parent knowing.
While using pinterest is usually pretty safe for children, they can come across age inappropriate content and even be contacted by strangers while using the app. It is important to talk to your child about what they use Pinterest for and who they are contacting while using it.
