Bottom Line

Parents have found that playing game can expose your child to music with adult themes. However, the main issue with this game is the “World” option where you can find players around the world and see the general area they are connecting from. This is an issue because it displays player's username and profile picture, which is the same across all Smule apps. So while there is no risk of meeting strangers on Magic Piano itself, when combined with other Smule apps it would be easy to contact and find other info about your child. No child under 18 should use this app without a parent knowing.

Talking to Your Children

Talk to your child about their activity while using this app. If they are using it for it’s gaming aspect, the only concern is the mature themes they may come across through the music. If they are connecting with strangers through using it, it is important that you talk to them about why this is dangerous. Please refer to our Parent’s Guides for tips on how to talk to your child about adult content and meeting strangers.
