Fyuse - 3D Photos

At first glance, this app seems like it is designed to allow users to create '3D' moving images, however Fyuse is social networking app where your child can post photos of themselves publicly to an enormous online community. There is also a private chat option where users can share photos and video. Many users on this app are offering to share nude photos privately or via another platform such as Snapchat or Kik. Fyuse allows search by username or hashtag, and a simple search reveals users sharing adult photos. Fyuse users can easily create anonymous accounts and switch between multiple accounts within the app, thus creating a high risk for bullying. This app is fairly popular, but as it grows in popularity the amount of inappropriate content will grow as well. No minor should use this app.
This app is very popular, so it may be difficult for your child to understand why they are not allowed to use it. However, it only takes a moment for an exchange between your child and a stranger to become dangerous. Try asking your child why they like using this app. If they like to create moving photographs, there are plenty of safer options for this activity. If they like to share photos with strangers, you should explain to them why this is dangerous. If your child has already been using this app to share videos with strangers, you will want to check their activity. Depending on what you find, you may want to involve law enforcement to protect your child.
